Amy is blogging; who knew that was possible?

.... and so my new life of change begins. Over the last several years I've managed to avoid owning a cell phone or reading/writing a blog entry, among a few other hip and trendy pasttime activities, without the least regret or lack of relational pinging. However, I change my name and begin living with a man and well,...suddenly I now have a cell phone and here I am blogging. I'm okay with it; I like change. So here goes my first attemp at blogging.......is blogging a word?

Andrew and I went to Ashville NC for our honeymoon. We spent 6 nights at a place called the Sourwood Inn, which we loved. Every room has a fireplace, and seeing as the temperatures at night were in the 40s we took full advantage of making our room cozy. Everyone says you will be so exhausted after your wedding you will just want to crash. Andrew and I found that we felt refreshed after one night's sleep and probably could have climbed a mountain. Well, actually we did.......Mount Pisgah. It's not the greatest challenge, but it afforded some nice views and a little exercise. We also hiked an area known as Graveyard Fields which was also in Pisgah.

We spent several days wandering around the town of Ashville, watching guys blowing glass, listening to poetry readings, surfing the web at local coffee shops, and basically feeling like we weren't quite hippy enough or enraged at the idea of global warming enough to walk the streets. It definately has that vibe, but actually we were quite content to enjoy the layed back atmosphere and well, just eat. Thanks to our dear friends Krys and Cassia we had a list of local yummy spots and yummy they were. Probably my top two would be Tupelo Honey Cafe(excellent fish and grits) and Salsa's ( flavors that are out of this world but somehow they manage to bring them to your table). I could really go on and on about the food but am already feeling like my first blog entry is entirely too long. Not even I will be interested in reading this later; plus my lunch break is over.

Do you sign your name at the end of your blog like a letter?
